1. Our approach to data
Focus Compendium does not use a proprietary Byeolgwawon account system, login service, or remote user database. Core focus records, settings, collection progress, and similar app data are designed to be stored locally on the user's device.
The app does, however, use third-party Google services. Those services may process certain user and device information as described below.
2. Data stored locally on your device
Focus Compendium may store information needed for app functionality, including:
- focus-session records and accumulated focus time;
- app preferences and settings;
- discovered items and collection progress;
- selected maps and local progression state;
- local entitlement or availability state used by app features; and
- local limits or counters used to operate app features.
This information is used to operate Focus Compendium and is not uploaded to a user database operated by Byeolgwawon.
3. Android backup and device transfer
Depending on your Android and Google account settings, some locally stored app data may be included in Android backup or device-transfer features. These processes are provided by Android or Google rather than by a Byeolgwawon server. Some categories of app data may be excluded from backup or transfer.
4. Rewarded ads and Google Mobile Ads
Focus Compendium uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to provide optional rewarded advertisements. According to Google's documentation, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, including:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- user product interactions, such as app launches, taps, and video views;
- diagnostic information relating to app and SDK performance; and
- device or account identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID or App Set ID, where applicable.
Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. The exact data handled may depend on SDK configuration, device settings, region, consent choices, and Google's services.
5. Privacy choices and Google UMP
Focus Compendium uses, or may use where applicable, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present advertising and privacy choices. The choices shown can vary by region, applicable law, device settings, and Google configuration.
In regions where consent or other privacy choices are required, UMP may be used to request or manage those choices before eligible advertising features are used.
6. Purchases through Google Play
Digital purchases in Focus Compendium are processed through Google Play. Byeolgwawon does not directly receive or store your full payment-card number, bank-account credentials, or other payment-method credentials.
Google Play may provide the app with purchase or entitlement information needed to determine whether purchased content is available to you.
7. Services Byeolgwawon does not operate for this app
Focus Compendium currently does not provide:
- a Byeolgwawon user account or login system;
- a Byeolgwawon remote user database;
- a first-party analytics service operated by Byeolgwawon;
- social messaging, friend lists, rankings, or PvP features; or
- a subscription service.
This does not mean that third-party Google services used by the app process no data. Their processing is described in this policy and in their own privacy documentation.
8. Retention and deletion
Data stored only in Focus Compendium's local app storage generally remains on the device while that app data is retained. You can remove local app data using Android's app-data controls or by uninstalling the app, subject to Android or Google backup and restoration behavior.
Data processed by Google Mobile Ads, Google Play, backup services, or other Google services is retained and deleted according to the applicable Google service and your Google account or privacy settings.
9. Security
Focus Compendium's core progression data is designed to remain locally stored rather than being maintained in a Byeolgwawon remote user database. Communications with third-party services use the security measures provided by those services. Google states that Google Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
10. Third-party services
The app may rely on the following third-party services or platform features:
- Google Play;
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob;
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP); and
- Android / Google backup and device-transfer features.
For more information about Google's handling of data, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Mobile Ads data-disclosure documentation .
11. Regional privacy choices
Advertising and privacy controls may differ depending on your region. Where applicable, Google UMP may present consent or privacy choices relating to ad storage, personalization, and associated data processing. Available controls depend on applicable requirements and the configuration of Google's services.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if Focus Compendium's features, third-party services, or applicable requirements change. When the policy is materially revised, the “Last updated” date on this page will be changed.
